I made some uv resin tree decorations using embellishment hearts I found during a tidy up. These will be mounted on Christmas cards and sent to people who ‘need’ a little sparkle at the festive time.

Craft resin fail?
Is this a fail or have I not found a ‘use’ for these resin coated feathers?
I just brushed on a couple of light layers of uv resin after spraying hair spray to set them (and avoid bubbles apparently).
The plainer feathers got a sprinkle of glitter but I still don’t like them more than the natural pre resin fluffiness.
Perhaps they can fit in a flower decoration?
Aunty Jenny’s necklace
When sorting through my late Aunt’s jewellry I broke a necklace. Although it was probably on its way to the charity shop, I felt guilty so decided to craft it into a new life.
I set the beads in uv resin to make three pendant baubles. These can be hung on a window latch, car rear view mirror or Christmas tree (with the right string) but here I have used some toning ribbon from my stash so I can finish the project off without buying.
Don’t feel so guilty now.
