Stationery holder gift

A small gift of four cards made from the same paper set ( nature’s gallery by Docrafts) made better by presenting them in a folder .

a sheet of 12×12″ paper from the same range is scored horizontally at 7″ and 11″  then at 5″ and 7″ down to form a spine.. I rounded the corners  too.

Fold all but the 1″ cuff to form the folder and fix brads from cover to  inner as shown, then stick ribbon or twine inside the cuff and use the final cuff fold to firm the ribbon in place and cover the brad legs.

imageI poked two holes in the front cover and threaded some fine twine through then strung some tags from the nature’s gallery range on the twine to decorate the cover.

Half of an embroidery hoop covered in bias binding  – I didn’t have enough white ribbon to cover the hoop – then 16 scan n cut library shapes cut, each one twice, and sandwiched round some twine which was tied to the hoop.  All fixed with hot glue and some buttons glued on to finish the hoop off.

next time I will use two dowels instead and some bakers twine instead. Loads of great circus shapes on the scan n cut canvas projects site to use or even a Christmas version with snowflakes etc.
